The editorial activity started in the mid 80’s with the fi rst titles of the series Outside the door, agile guides for excursions. After nearly 20 years more than 60 guides have been published regarding the natural environments of the Dolomites, the Venetian Alps, and the most important national and regional parks in Italy.

In the early 90’s began a series of historical and geographical monographs designed by people with considerable editorial experience: from Eugenio Turri (perhaps the greatest Italian geographer, author for Longanesi, Italian Touring Club, De Agostini, Marsilio) to Francesco Vallerani, Aldino Bondesan, Ugo Sauro (Department of Geography at Padua University). Thus published the Adige River, the Venice Lagoon, the Sile River, the Piave River, the Brenta River, Lake Garda, the Euganean Hills, and the Tagliamento River: volumes that combine contributions from the most qualifi ed scholars of individual areas to images of the best photographers. In a further series, the North East, are published studies of local history. Among the authors and editors there are many professors from the following Universities: Verona, Padua, Venice, Udine, Trento and some scholars of folk traditions, including Dino Coltro.

At the end of the 90’s the fi rst issues of the paths of memory came to light. In the series some forgotten titles had been retrieved and reintroduced in a new and accurate layout. These include those of Tina Merlin – notably her best seller, more than 50,000 copies sold, “Sulle pelle viva” (The alive skin) – and others of Eugenio Turri, Dino Coltro, Mario Passi, Emilio Sarzi Amadé, Carla Bettei, Fausta Garavini.

The publishing house, while maintaining its independent cultural identity and design, has consistently enabled reports of intense collaboration with other cultural institutes and publishing houses of Triveneto. Thanks to what was published in co-edition with the Veneto Institutes of Science, Literature and Arts and the Veneto Region, the monumental Venezia romanica (Romanesque Venice) by Wladimiro Dorigo, the work reviewed by major magazines in this fi eld (Cahier de civilation medieval, Revue Historique, Die alte Stadt, Studi medievali, Il giornale dell’Arte, Medioevo).

Other important co-editions were carried out in collaboration with UNESCO, Giorgio Cini, Menocchio Circle, Centro Studi Luccini, Euganean Hills Regional Park, Stelvio National Park, Belluno Dolomite National Park, Pollino Park, Friulian Dolomites Park, Bolognese Apennines Park and publishing houses Tappeiner, Raetia, Arca, Grafo, Canova and the newspaper L’Adige. The publishing house, whose catalogue contains more than 400 titles, continues to develop its own editorial programming and at the same time looks for the most appropriate forms of collaboration with cultural operators similarly orientated to an in-depth and top quality publisher.
